Business Manager: Mr David Ramsay LL.B (University of Abertay, Dundee) 2008 HND Adult Nursing (University of Dundee) 2001
David is responsible for overseeing all business aspects of the practice including strategic management and planning, human resource management, financial management, complaints / feedback and the practice’s GMS contractual obligations. David joined Newfield Medical Group in January 2025 with nearly 25 years of experience within the NHS having spent 16 of those years in general practice.
Administration Team:
Assistant Practice Manager: Laura
Laura plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of Newfield Medical Group, helping to ensure that safe, efficient and patient-centred services are delivered across the practice. Working closely with the Business Manager and wider team, the role supports the smooth operation of both clinical and non-clinical services, helping patients and staff receive the highest standard of service.
Responsibilities include workforce and rota coordination, supporting staff recruitment and training, overseeing appointment systems and patient administration processes, managing premises and non-clinical resources, supporting information governance and IT systems, and assisting with quality improvement and external healthcare projects. The role also works closely with staff, NHS partners and community organisations to help continually improve patient experience and support the ongoing development of the practice.

Our helpful administration team perform a variety of important tasks within the practice such as issuing repeat prescriptions, assisting patients with queries, updating patient records and providing basic information on services and results.
